It is still wet. The ground is so saturated that I more or less gave up the idea that the trees from “my” forest would be available on time. Action! This last month I have pruned a row of old oak trees, gathered branches from a thinning in an old forest, selected suitable logs from felled trees on several private properties and I have even tried to swap firewood for healthy logs. No succes there unfortunately. Lots of small projects and lots of kilometers. But still not enough logs. Although half of the total amount has been found, I still need another 10m3 which is approximately 500 logs with a length of 1 meter. No time to waste, I have to reach out to some tree contacts – end of this Journal!
